Ma 1:1. Ma 1:18. This is how the birth of Jesus the Messiah came about: His mother Mary was pledged to be married to Joseph, but before they came together, she was found to be pregnant through the Holy Spirit. Ma 1:21. She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins." Ma 1:23. "The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel" (which means "God with us"). Ma 2:6. "'But you, Bethlehem, in the land of Judah,    are by no means least among the rulers of Judah;for out of you will come a ruler    who will shepherd my people Israel.'" Ma 2:11. On coming to the house, they saw the child with his mother Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped him. Then they opened their treasures and presented him with gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh. Ma 2:23. and he went and lived in a town called Nazareth. So was fulfilled what was said through the prophets, that he would be called a Nazarene. Ma 3:3. This is he who was spoken of through the prophet Isaiah:"A voice of one calling in the wilderness,'Prepare the way for the Lord,    make straight paths for him.'" Ma 3:11. "I baptize you with water for repentance. But after me comes one who is more powerful than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire. Ma 3:16. As soon as Jesus was baptized, he went up out of the water. At that moment heaven was opened, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting on him. Ma 3:17. And a voice from heaven said, "This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased." Ma 4:4. Jesus answered, "It is written: 'Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.'" Ma 4:10. Jesus said to him, "Away from me, Satan! For it is written: 'Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only.'" Ma 4:17. From that time on Jesus began to preach, "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven has come near." Ma 4:19. "Come, follow me," Jesus said, "and I will send you out to fish for people." Ma 5:6. Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness,    for they will be filled. Ma 5:9. Blessed are the peacemakers,    for they will be called children of God. Ma 5:12. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you. Ma 5:16. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven. Ma 5:37. All you need to say is simply 'Yes' or 'No'; anything beyond this comes from the evil one. Ma 5:42. Give to the one who asks you, and do not turn away from the one who wants to borrow from you. Ma 5:44. But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, Ma 6:1. "Be careful not to practice your righteousness in front of others to be seen by them. If you do, you will have no reward from your Father in heaven. Ma 6:6. But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. Ma 6:7. And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words. Ma 6:13. And lead us not into temptation,     but deliver us from the evil one.' Ma 6:14. For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. Ma 6:20. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. Ma 6:21. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. Ma 6:24. "No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money. Ma 6:33. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Ma 7:7. "Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. Ma 7:12. So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets. Ma 7:13. "Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. Ma 7:21. "Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Ma 7:24. "Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. Ma 7:29. because he taught as one who had authority, and not as their teachers of the law. Ma 8:13. Then Jesus said to the centurion, "Go! Let it be done just as you believed it would." And his servant was healed at that moment. Ma 8:17. This was to fulfill what was spoken through the prophet Isaiah:"He took up our infirmities    and bore our diseases." Ma 8:20. Jesus replied, "Foxes have dens and birds have nests, but the Son of Man has no place to lay his head." Ma 8:27. The men were amazed and asked, "What kind of man is this? Even the winds and the waves obey him!" Ma 9:6. But I want you to know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins." So he said to the paralyzed man, "Get up, take your mat and go home." Ma 9:13. But go and learn what this means: 'I desire mercy, not sacrifice.' For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners." Ma 9:35. Jesus went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom and healing every disease and sickness. Ma 9:37. Then he said to his disciples, "The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ma 9:38. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field." Ma 10:1. Jesus called his twelve disciples to him and gave them authority to drive out impure spirits and to heal every disease and sickness. Ma 10:8. Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those who have leprosy, drive out demons. Freely you have received; freely give. Ma 10:19. But when they arrest you, do not worry about what to say or how to say it. At that time you will be given what to say, Ma 10:28. Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell. Ma 10:32. "Whoever acknowledges me before others, I will also acknowledge before my Father in heaven. Ma 10:38. Whoever does not take up their cross and follow me is not worthy of me. Ma 11:6. Blessed is anyone who does not stumble on account of me." Ma 11:11. Truly I tell you, among those born of women there has not risen anyone greater than John the Baptist; yet whoever is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he. Ma 11:15. Whoever has ears, let them hear. Ma 11:27. "All things have been committed to me by my Father. No one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal him. Ma 11:28. "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Ma 11:29. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. Ma 11:30. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light." Ma 12:8. For the Son of Man is Lord of the Sabbath." Ma 12:18. "Here is my servant whom I have chosen,    the one I love, in whom I delight;I will put my Spirit on him,    and he will proclaim justice to the nations. Ma 12:25. Jesus knew their thoughts and said to them, "Every kingdom divided against itself will be ruined, and every city or household divided against itself will not stand. Ma 12:30. "Whoever is not with me is against me, and whoever does not gather with me scatters. Ma 12:32. Anyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but anyone who speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the age to come. Ma 12:35. A good man brings good things out of the good stored up in him, and an evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in him. Ma 12:37. For by your words you will be acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned." Ma 12:50. For whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother." Ma 14:5. Herod wanted to kill John, but he was afraid of the people, because they considered John a prophet. Ma 14:19. And he directed the people to sit down on the grass. Taking the five loaves and the two fish and looking up to heaven, he gave thanks and broke the loaves. Then he gave them to the disciples, and the disciples gave them to the people. Ma 14:23. After he had dismissed them, he went up on a mountainside by himself to pray. Later that night, he was there alone, Ma 14:27. But Jesus immediately said to them: "Take courage! It is I. Don't be afraid." Ma 14:31. Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. "You of little faith," he said, "why did you doubt?" Ma 14:33. Then those who were in the boat worshiped him, saying, "Truly you are the Son of God." Ma 15:8. "'These people honor me with their lips,    but their hearts are far from me. Ma 15:9. They worship me in vain;    their teachings are merely human rules.'" Ma 15:14. Leave them; they are blind guides. If the blind lead the blind, both will fall into a pit." Ma 15:18. But the things that come out of a person's mouth come from the heart, and these defile them. Ma 15:28. Then Jesus said to her, "Woman, you have great faith! Your request is granted." And her daughter was healed at that moment. Ma 15:32. Jesus called his disciples to him and said, "I have compassion for these people; they have already been with me three days and have nothing to eat. I do not want to send them away hungry, or they may collapse on the way." Ma 15:36. Then he took the seven loaves and the fish, and when he had given thanks, he broke them and gave them to the disciples, and they in turn to the people. Ma 16:16. Simon Peter answered, "You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God." Ma 16:18. And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it. Ma 16:23. Jesus turned and said to Peter, "Get behind me, Satan! You are a stumbling block to me; you do not have in mind the concerns of God, but merely human concerns." Ma 16:24. Then Jesus said to his disciples, "Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me. Ma 16:25. For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will find it. Ma 16:26. What good will it be for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul? Or what can anyone give in exchange for their soul? Ma 16:27. For the Son of Man is going to come in his Father's glory with his angels, and then he will reward each person according to what they have done. Ma 17:2. There he was transfigured before them. His face shone like the sun, and his clothes became as white as the light. Ma 17:5. While he was still speaking, a bright cloud covered them, and a voice from the cloud said, "This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased. Listen to him!" Ma 17:20. He replied, "Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you." Ma 18:3. And he said: "Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Ma 18:6. "If anyone causes one of these little ones-those who believe in me-to stumble, it would be better for them to have a large millstone hung around their neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea. Ma 18:7. Woe to the world because of the things that cause people to stumble! Such things must come, but woe to the person through whom they come! Ma 18:14. In the same way your Father in heaven is not willing that any of these little ones should perish. Ma 18:18. "Truly I tell you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven. Ma 18:19. "Again, truly I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything they ask for, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven. Ma 18:20. For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them." Ma 18:35. "This is how my heavenly Father will treat each of you unless you forgive your brother or sister from your heart." Ma 19:6. So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate." Ma 19:9. I tell you that anyone who divorces his wife, except for sexual immorality, and marries another woman commits adultery." Ma 19:14. Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these." Ma 19:17. "Why do you ask me about what is good?" Jesus replied. "There is only One who is good. If you want to enter life, keep the commandments." Ma 19:26. Jesus looked at them and said, "With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible." Ma 19:29. And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or fields for my sake will receive a hundred times as much and will inherit eternal life. Ma 19:30. But many who are first will be last, and many who are last will be first. Ma 20:8. "When evening came, the owner of the vineyard said to his foreman, 'Call the workers and pay them their wages, beginning with the last ones hired and going on to the first.' Ma 20:16. "So the last will be first, and the first will be last." Ma 20:18. "We are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be delivered over to the chief priests and the teachers of the law. They will condemn him to death Ma 20:19. and will hand him over to the Gentiles to be mocked and flogged and crucified. On the third day he will be raised to life!" Ma 20:21. "What is it you want?" he asked. She said, "Grant that one of these two sons of mine may sit at your right and the other at your left in your kingdom." Ma 20:23. Jesus said to them, "You will indeed drink from my cup, but to sit at my right or left is not for me to grant. These places belong to those for whom they have been prepared by my Father." Ma 20:26. Not so with you. Instead, whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, Ma 20:28. just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many." Ma 21:5. "Say to Daughter Zion,    'See, your king comes to you, gentle and riding on a donkey,    and on a colt, the foal of a donkey.'" Ma 21:9. The crowds that went ahead of him and those that followed shouted,"Hosanna to the Son of David!""Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!""Hosanna in the highest heaven!" Ma 21:13. "It is written," he said to them, "'My house will be called a house of prayer,' but you are making it 'a den of robbers.'" Ma 21:22. If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer." Ma 21:32. For John came to you to show you the way of righteousness, and you did not believe him, but the tax collectors and the prostitutes did. And even after you saw this, you did not repent and believe him. Ma 21:42. Jesus said to them, "Have you never read in the Scriptures:"'The stone the builders rejected    has become the cornerstone;the Lord has done this,    and it is marvelous in our eyes'? Ma 21:43. "Therefore I tell you that the kingdom of God will be taken away from you and given to a people who will produce its fruit. Ma 21:46. They looked for a way to arrest him, but they were afraid of the crowd because the people held that he was a prophet. Ma 22:14. "For many are invited, but few are chosen." Ma 22:15. Then the Pharisees went out and laid plans to trap him in his words. Ma 22:29. Jesus replied, "You are in error because you do not know the Scriptures or the power of God. Ma 22:32. 'I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob'? He is not the God of the dead but of the living." Ma 22:37. Jesus replied: "'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' Ma 22:38. This is the first and greatest commandment. Ma 22:39. And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' Ma 22:40. All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments." Ma 26:1. When Jesus had finished saying all these things, he said to his disciples, Ma 26:2. "As you know, the Passover is two days away-and the Son of Man will be handed over to be crucified." Ma 26:11. The poor you will always have with you, but you will not always have me. Ma 26:26. While they were eating, Jesus took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and gave it to his disciples, saying, "Take and eat; this is my body." Ma 26:28. This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins. Ma 26:31. Then Jesus told them, "This very night you will all fall away on account of me, for it is written:"'I will strike the shepherd,    and the sheep of the flock will be scattered.' Ma 26:39. Going a little farther, he fell with his face to the ground and prayed, "My Father, if it is possible, may this cup be taken from me. Yet not as I will, but as you will." Ma 26:41. "Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak." Ma 26:59. The chief priests and the whole Sanhedrin were looking for false evidence against Jesus so that they could put him to death. Ma 26:64. "You have said so," Jesus replied. "But I say to all of you: From now on you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Mighty One and coming on the clouds of heaven." Ma 26:75. Then Peter remembered the word Jesus had spoken: "Before the rooster crows, you will disown me three times." And he went outside and wept bitterly. Ma 27:4. "I have sinned," he said, "for I have betrayed innocent blood.""What is that to us?" they replied. "That's your responsibility." Ma 27:14. But Jesus made no reply, not even to a single charge-to the great amazement of the governor. Ma 27:25. All the people answered, "His blood is on us and on our children!" Ma 27:37. Above his head they placed the written charge against him: THIS IS JESUS, THE KING OF THE JEWS. Ma 27:46. About three in the afternoon Jesus cried out in a loud voice, "Eli, Eli, lema sabachthani?" (which means "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?"). Ma 27:54. When the centurion and those with him who were guarding Jesus saw the earthquake and all that had happened, they were terrified, and exclaimed, "Surely he was the Son of God!" Ma 28:1. After the Sabbath, at dawn on the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to look at the tomb. Ma 28:6. He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay. Ma 28:18. Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Ma 28:19. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, Ma 28:20. and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."
